Who Is Your Man Crush or Girl Crush?
The question is not asking about whom do you have a crush on, but more like your fascination of that person, sort of a mixed feeling of admiration and jealousy to the point that you often think of him/her. This is mainly about a movie star/singer that you idolized, you might go to see a particular movie because s/he is in that movie. I’ve heard this topic on the radio on my way to work this morning, and the basic rule is that the person that you have a man crush or girl crush on, has to be the same sex as you, and if you’re gay then the opposite sex is A okay.
As for me, definitely Alexandra Bounxouei whom grew up in a very musically talented family, began to take piano, violin, and singing lessons at an early age. She is a gifted musician; she can play violin, piano, guitar, and lanart. When I first heard of her, it was through the old LP forum about a year ago, which Salat posted her photo and asked if people thought that she is sexy because Salat is a female and wanted a male perspective on this. The answer that stood out in my mind was Nexus, which he replied ‘Yes she is sexy, and I am a guy.’ Then little information about her sort of absorbed into me unconsciously, Sim once posted that he was fascinated with her talents, being able to play so many different instruments and hope that one day he’d be able to play like her, also ranting on about how well she presented herself, very polite and proper as a Laotian lady. Darly on the other hand was just gung ho about her, anything Alexandra, she would post.
As you can see, I’m loaded with her personal information, but no more than her other fans such as Thun and Chai, I’d imagine. I don’t normally buy a female singer CD, but about a month ago, I was at the Asian Market, and saw the soundtrack to the Lakorn, Pleng Ruk Rim Fang Khong, couldn’t resist the temptation and had to make that purchase. Her voice is amazing, not disappointed with the purchase at all, and still listening to it right now. I’m hoping that her new Lakorn will also be a musical drama, but crossing my fingers that the leading man will be Tana, oil (pretty boy that most of you known him as in the song Thai Dum Lum Phan).
Well, what can I say, she is definitely talented and has what it takes to be successful in the entertainment industry, she is definitely my girl crush. I guess you can say that I am a big fan of Alexandra Bounxouei based on all the postings of her. But in honestly, I was doing my job to report the news and when there was hardly anyone posting her news, then someone has to do it. Now she is famous enough that you can find all sorts of info about her.
If it is a singer from Laos. I adore Ting Phailavanh and I have said this in the old LP and also at Saolao.net. Ting has such a beautiful voice and her music moves me. I don't know anything about her, not even her age but I just fell in love with her voice. She looks so cute and adorable too and seems so graceful in a natural sense on stage.
As a female singer from Laos, Ting is the only one that can bring tears to my eyes when I listen to her music. The sad songs strike my core. I hope someday to be able to meet Ting in person. If anyone has a connection, please let me know.

on the music instead of the musician. I can't think of neither a girl or a guy

At first I thought someone had posted a picture of Katie Holmes. And I also don't remember asking that question on the previos LP board, but maybe Ginger has better memory then me. My celebrity crush would be French actress Audrey Tautou. I think she has a nice smile.

I have a preference for male, female and homosexual singers. Just like our children, we love them all.
When I was a kid, the female singers are my favorite, since there voice are less threatening.

Hi, Salat, I have a photographic memory at times and that’s why I do well at exams and such; maybe Nexus would remember you asking him about her. Sometimes it’s not good to have a good memory because I’ll remember conversations or things that people would tell me, it’s like living in the past, and then if they changed their story on me, I sort of loose respect for that person, I’m a bit too black and white when it comes to something like this. My big boss that’s 74 years old would tell me a story of him in Thailand in his younger days, he must have told me 100 times, and the story varies each time but same story. I would find it in Google catched for you, but I have I feeling it’ll be a wild goose chase.
Although I am months late, I will use this opportunity to confess two man-crushes:
First is Gerard Butler. He is one of very few men that I think have great characters and personalities. Not to mention the type of body that I believe most men would love to have. Who am I kidding? He’s a heart throb.
The other is Anderson Cooper of CNN. Anderson is extremely intelligent, good-looking, very well-known and well-liked, and loves to be as much a part of an event or situation — to experience it for himself — as to report it.
