My Completed Lily/Fish Pond
I completed my project today, I think it looks very nice, just as I imagined it’d be. I also posted more photos of my sister’s pond here.

A really beautiful bridge with an international red. You'd built it in only a short time. Now, it'll be fun leaning over to see the fishes. Great craftsmanship.
That is a nice looking bridge Ginger. It looks high enough so little kids won't fall over. Did you have help cutting up the wood and hammering it? Looks like a fun project. Maybe when the lilies begin to bloom you can take another picture for us too. Thanks.
I can’t take much credit for the bridge, I did come up with the design, choose the materials and paint, but my dad had to find a way to put it together, it was his little project. He did let me use some power tools, which were lots of fun.
It’s a lot of work cleaning the pond, but very relaxing.
Thanks for sharing your photos with us. I think you will enjoy this pond for a very long time. It will make a great place for family and friends to gather around for the summer months.
It looks very green in your neighborhood too, so this is a perfect setting to give you a feeling of blending with nature.
My parents has a nice big back yard and they should have a lily and fish pond too. They would enjoy it more than digging in the garden which break their back since I am not there to do the heavy work for them. It’s cheaper for them to just buy the fruits and vegetables at the Farmer’s Market.
Get some lawn chairs to set up near your pond with a good shade and I can see you reading your favorite book on a Sunday afternoon. That’s what I would do to recharge my energy for a busy week at work.
Hi Salat, I didn’t get to help much with the bridge, I was at work, since my dad is retired, he has time to work on it. Since my pond is not that big, it actually looks better before we put the railing. I think a month from now, the lily should look very pretty; I’ll take some photo for you to see.
Hi darly, I live in the city limit of the boondocks and my backyard is very small, but what you’re seeing is my neighbor’s backyard, he has a 2 acres of wooded lot which is real nice to go back there. I was out there yesterday clearing out the dirt that I dug out from the pond, one of my neighbors came over and said that she didn’t know what I was doing, she thought something (someone) died or something…I think people are just funny. I recalled seeing her coming out to check on me often, but who would have thought she would think of something like that, must have read too many mystery novels.
