Sicko

Health CareThis movie will change your views. Michael Moore, a well known director of movies such as Bowling for Columbine and Fahrenheit 9/11, has made a movie about the health care system in America.

45 million people in the US don’t have health care insurance. To me, this is totally unacceptable, to you, USA citizen, this is the norm.

It is time to get health care for all and convert from the me-only perspective to a we-approach. Please think of this when you vote for a sane president with an ethically responsible network next year.

Please watch this 2-hour long movie. It is well worth your time.

  2. I just checked out the source and it looks like the movie has been removed.

Aww…too bad for those of you that didn't get to see it. I sat down yesterday and watched the entire movie and shed a few tears.

I myself didn't have health insurance for a few months when I was 18 years old and left home with only a part time job with no insurance coverage. Good thing that I was attending college because I bought student health insurance to cover myself. But it was very basic insurance.

I later worked two jobs during my last year of undergrad, one was with a health insurance processing company, doing data entry. I saw how the system work and how claims were being denied and how the insurance companies negotiate with doctors and hospitals to save money.

This company I worked for is sold now and the owners are millionaires. They get bonuses if they saved the insurance company some money. They managed a few top insurance companies too, processing medical claims. These companies were listed in the movie as well.

  3. I thought it was truly a legal copy regarding the source it came from. I guess I was wrong. Google removed it.

  5. One of his best documentaries. A two hour worth watching. It appeared again on Google for about 29 hours.

It looks like his tape was stolen from the screening room then upload on the Internet before his movie is even on the theater. But Micheal is more worried about people making profits on his tapes than seeing the tape spread accross the web.
