Laotian Artist, Boon Vong

I think a blog tells a lot about a person; I like to think of myself as normal, your average Jane Doe, but my blog is indicating that I’m a bit strange, weird you might say; that might not be far from it because some even regarding me as a ‘mad woman’, but that’s okay, it’s something that I can live with. I’m not posting this as a revenge, more like asking for truce, for I want to talk about one of the Laotian sites/blogs that I came across.

I personally don’t know the artist, never made comment on his site, nor have spoken to him, but I’ve been visiting his site/blog on a regular basis, and might be because his artworks always paint a smile on my face after looking at them. All I know is that his name is Boon Vong, known as uncle Boon, and his blog line ‘…We might as well be strangers in another town, We might as well be living in a different world…’ and a new cool phrase after each click of his name at the top. He made me think of my younger sister, whom loves to draw just like him, but was never serious enough to make much out of her artworks.

There is a sense of calmness about his site, if I get too frustrated after reading some of the ‘stuff’ on Laoplanet, then I’d often times visit his peaceful site afterward. After seeing a site like his, it made me feel proud to be Laotian, 2 thumbs-up, here is the Link. Viewer discretion is advised, he does have a thing for drawing sexy women, if you understand art, then you’ll understand why.
