New iPhone (June 07) - “New York”
I was talking to my oldest sister that works near Fifth Ave, and Madison Ave on Saturday, and she was talking about people waiting on line to buy iPhone, and some even sold their spots for some quick cash. I thought to myself, that’s ridiculous, people can’t be that crazy, and then I saw a photo of this guy…okay so people can be that crazy!

As you can see from the photo below, it was a media circus in Midtown Manhattan at the site of Apple’s subterranean retail store, where news crews were crawling everywhere. As of 8:30 a.m. Friday morning, the line outside the Fifth Ave. shop had snaked its way around Madison Ave.

Call me stupid, but I didn’t know what an iPhone looks like, the spelling is even funny to me. Then I found an ads in you tube, I’m still a bit confused. Why would I need a cell phone to do all that? I only use mine to make/receive phone call.

I don't know what the fuss is about. I've not been reading up much about tech trends lately. Been too busy, you know.
I saw an interview with Bill Gates and Steve Jobs and Mr. Jobs pulled out his iphone. It didn't make me go "oh I got to have one". I still have a phone from 2003. It's Nokia something which I got it as second hand last year. I use a prepaid card and since I don't make much calls, I don't waste money.
My motto is, if you don't need it, don't buy it.
My motto is the same as yours’, I don’t even use all the features on my cell phone, but for some, they have to be cool and if they get one of these cool thing, I wonder if they have to hang it on their neck for people to see.
Just a reminder, you know we’re supposed to meet in NYC this week, we spoke about it in the old LP forum right after I came back from my visited there, what made me think about it was when I made a slide show at my blog for the NYC trip; made me wondering if Darly still remembers.
