Laotian guy wins world series of poker
Jerry Yang, a 39-year-old psychologist, married and father of 6 children, won the top prize in the final of the world series of poker, on Wednesday 18th of July. The significant sum of $8.25 million will flow into his pocket after he knocked out seven of the eight other players at the final table.
Jerry is an ethnic Hmong person who grew up poor in Laos. Yang said before the final table began that he would donate 10 percent of his winnings to charity and his alma mater, Loma Linda University. Also, Jerry will buy a brand new car for his wife. I believe he can do this now with little doubt.
Here is a clip from, probably, the aphex of Jerry’s poker career.
