A new home

by Darly

A new voiceSince we always talk about Lao Voices online it was time for a change and get a new name: Laovoices.com.

It is often too easy to remain where you are in a comfortable position and do nothing. We are not about that. Our voices count!

To emphasize this we underwent a little change. Just a little ;) Be welcome here as ever!

  1. Hi Darly, is that suppose to be 24K gold chain links next to the Laovoices logo?  Just kidding.  Great job as usual.

  2. Hi there Salat,

You must be the first visitor to the new home. Welcome. I'm happy you didn't get lost. Just wait till the others get here. :)

What gold chain and where? I want one, lol.

  3. Nice moves there Darly, I like it, and btw, I got here just fine. ;)

  4. Like they say home is where the heart is! I don't know about the others, but I will always follow!:)

  5. Hey there Ginger,

I see you didn't get lost in the traffic either. Happy that you made it. Now you can find a good spot and plant your ginger roots. Get it? :)

  6. Sabaidee Karmadiva,

Happy you made it as well. Together, we speak louder I hope. :)

  7. Lol. Ginger roots, that's a good one Darly. ;)

  8. Padek arrived!

  9. I hope that is in closed jar, or else the place will be stinky. :P

  10. Darly you are too funny!

  11. What can I say I have a dark sense of humor. :P

  12. Lol.Sorry about that Darly, it was a typo.  :P

  13. No biggie. Believe it or not when I told Johan about it, he said "yes, you're a bit darky. It's from you Papa's side of the family" LOL. The funny thing is that before I went to Laos, everyone on my Papa's side of the family were asking if I was still dam. They all rememer me as a darky toddler with long darky legs.

I noticed how most people in Laos are so caught up with the color thing. All my relatives told me to wear long sleeves so I won't get dark. When I told them that I used to tan during the summer, they were like are you crazy, why would you want to be darker.

My mother doesn't like it that I like to have a nice tan. Last summer I wore sunblock in Spain. Today I will put on some sun block as well.

    Anyway, enjoy your Sunday. :)

  14. Howdy folks…Nice sitting room :)Glad that Summer has finally arrived for you D. As for us, we have lost kilos just sweating it out in the hot sun. When its hot, its hot.

  15. Hi there V,

Glad to see that you made it out of the kitchen, even for just a few seconds. I bet it is as warm as last year around this time, if not more. I believe I was in Spain the same time last year. I even lost a kilo or two. :P
