Lao Voices

Have you ever heard about MIT OpenCourseWare? I found out about this valuable resource and wanted to share this information to the Laotian Community. MIT OpenCourseWare is “a free and open educational resource (OER) for educators, students, and self-learners around the world.” With internet access you can take a course from the comfort of your own home and pick your favorite subjects.

Since this is an open learning program, you don’t receive a certificate or a degree. But that shouldn’t stop you from using this great tool as a student, teacher, or self-learner. I saw an area where the MIT OpenCourseWare is being translated into many different languages. The first thing that came to my mind is how the students of Laos can access the courses. All the courses can be download and translate and use at the National University of Laos. There are undergraduate and graduated courses to choose from.
