Moon the Night Restaurant, no kidding?
This would be a good time as any to join Ginger and Padek with funny English, more like “Engrish” or “Chinglish” postings. I am more worried about using English names for restaurant that might make some tourists raise an eyebrow if they were to dine at such a place. For my last dinner in Vientiane, my friend (Fong) took me to Moon the Night Restaurant, which is situated along the Mekong River. It has a great view of the sunset and you can see Don Chan Palace Hotel in the distance.

At the dinner table, Fong asked me what I think of the name of the restaurant. I told him the name reminds me of my high school years when my volleyball team members would do a prank by mooning on the streets on our way back from competitions at night. Fong said when he brought his foreign co-workers to Moon the Night, they all made a funny face and said the name is odd but wouldn’t say anything more.
What do you think of such a name? When I go to Laos the next time, I will take Ginger to eat at this restaurant. I can’t wait to see what she has to say on her blog. LOL.
I’ve never tried beer before; I might just do that after drinking Lao Beer.Lol. *ouch, my head still hurt.Lol.*
Full moon in Lao will have a whole new meaning now, LOL. And who said we don't have a sense of humor?
