The two posts about the bodhi tree by Ginger and Salat made me think of this video clip. The first time I saw “the leaf, not yet falling” was at the First International Conference on Lao Studies in May of 2005.
I wrote this for a friend who said, “I think God making the clock run too fast for me.”
When I think of time, a Thai song came to mind, Puen tee lek lek (A Little Space) by BOY Trai, part of the song said, being an adult is not easy, not familiar of what I [...]
After the recent Bird Flu outbreaks in Laos and the fear of human-to-human transfer of the H5N1 virus, and watching movies such as Grindhouse and 28 week later I started wondering what would happen to a society when a fullblown lethal virus would spread.

The belief of ghost in the house not only dictates our sleeping positions, but also our waking up in the morning, it has to be early in the morning for it to be Sirimoungkhoun (lucky, karma, or prosperous.) Back when I was little, we didn’t have an alarm clock, no need [...]
I visited Laomusic.la a couple of days back and thought Darly has gone mad in changing her websites name. I knew in the back of my mind that Dot-la stands for our country, Laos. I’m wondering how many different Lao websites will be switching over to Dot-la, and if this is going to [...]
Dot La. This official Lao top level domain extension was sold to the highest bidder and is now mostly used under the flag of Los Angeles…. That does not matter to us. We will simply reclaim all dot la domains, one at a time
Starting with two revamped sites. Laomusic.la migrated [...]
