Eighties music
I found a great source of eighties music that does not suck. At least, not to my taste
Friday I’m in Love - The Cure
Golden Brown - The Stranglers
(never a frown with Golden Brown..)
Is this Love - Whitesnake
Ashes to ashes - David Bowie
The boy with the torn in his side - The Smiths
Rock the Casbah - The Clash
Rio - Duran Duran
Such a Shame - Talk Talk
Jump - Van Halen
Orange Crush - REM
The Unforgettable Fire - U2
Go Your own way - Fleetwood mac
Bird of Paradise - Snowy white
And goodbye to another of my eighties’ guys, the master.

Is this love that I'm feeling,
Is this the love, that I've been searching for
Is this love or am I dreaming,
This must be love,
'Cos it's really got a hold on me…
I spent most of the 80's running around in Vientiane. Then we came to the US, never seen MTV until mid 90's at a friend's house. Knew about Rem and U2 from a friend who went to U2 concert in Kansas City in 1998 or 99.
My parents still don't have cable TV. We get like 5 channels and 3 of them have mostly snow looking, lol. Good thing for the internet though. If it's on the net, I will find it!
SJ, you shouldn’t scare Padek like that, I don’t think he’ll buy that ;) I knew and like these songs, I grew up in the 80s but mostly listened to them on the radio.
I started a joke
which started the
the whole world crying
but I didn’t see
that the joke was on me
I started to cry
which started the
whole world laughing
oh if I’d only see
that the joke was on me…..
Beegees?
