Lao Voices

Most of my relatives like to eat laap duck and even the raw version of it. I am not a fan of eating duck and it could be due to the fact I have a nickname of little ducky. When we came to the US and my parents would make laap duck, freshly killed from the city market I was the only one in the family that refused to eat the laap duck and the duck soup. When I was in Laos and was served laap duck a couple of times, I only took a few bites at one meal. Let’s hope next time I will just dive in with no guilt.
