DJ, it is Tam Som.
Hey Dallas. Was wondering when someone will say that. When I was a kid in Laos, the adults would say both ways. They said let’s make som tam or tam som. Maybe it’s Tai Viengchan thing but those were my aunts.
Hi Manola,
Try http://laocuisine.net. I think there is a video posted there on how to make Lao chicken BBQ. Don’t let the nice color of the BBQ fool you in the above pictures. I bet they used food coloring to get the effect. I shall check with the relatives for authentic ping kai recipe for you later and will post it at Laocuisine.net.
