Pakse Boat Racing Festival 2007, part 1
The Boat Racing Festival in Pakse this year was bigger and better than the Vientiane Boat Racing Festival. Viewers on Lao Television all agreed about how grand and spectacular the grand finale at Pakse was compared to the event in Vientiane. Even though both cities had the same set up with vendors, selling food and various goods, games and live concert, there were more activities in Pakse festival ground than in Vientiane. For start, there were more teams competing in Pakse boat races than in Vientiane, almost twice as much. Caravans of Thai merchants also came to join the party and set up trade show.
