I’ve seen many sticky rice farms in Laos but have never seen a salt farm before until now, in pictures only. These photos are of a salt farm in Vientiane. It looks like a back breaking work to run a salt farm. The next time I am in Laos I will make a visit to a salt farm and ask the owners some question about what it’s like to run a salt farm for a living.

That is very interesting. I would love to know more about this Salt Farm and will ask one of our cooks to visit it when he goes on his holidays in January.
