Alexandra Bounxouei second Thai drama, Ray Rai Louk Sao Pa

As always, Darly is quick to spot the latest news on Alexandra’s new Thai drama, as she posted the Lakorn opening ceremony at Saolao.net. For Alexandra’s fans, this is something that we’ve been waiting for, and the opening ceremony was performed on January 14, 2008 at Work Point Entertainment, which is called ‘borng sorng’ ceremony. This is an old age tradition that has passed down for generations; it’s a ritual that the film crews and actors/actresses ask for protection from good and evil spirits and for things to run smoothly while filming the Lakorn or movie. After this ceremony then the filming begins.
The issue of global warming or climate change has been on the agenda for most people, especially for the Thais, and this Lakorn will reflect that, for people to live according to their means and in accordance with the king of Thailand’s slogan of ‘said ta gid por pieng.’ During the ceremony, everyone was grinning from ear to ear because this is a return of the neighboring actress from Laos, Alexandra Bounxouei who plays the leading lady, with 2 leading men, Cee Siwat and Nom Rapeepat. This Lakorn will address the issue of forestry, the preservation of nature as our natural resources is depleting due to human destroying it, and it might be time for us to become more aware of our surrounding.

As for the role of Alexandra, we can expect to see more of her true self, there is more action pack, as Alexandra has mentioned to the producer in the past that she wants to play this type of role, it’s more of her true character. This is something that her fans might be surprised to see because the image of a sweet young lady from ‘Pleng Ruk Rim Fang Khong,’ her previous Lakorn is still vivid in our mind, a message from Alexandra to all her fans is that ‘Sandra want people to see Sandra in different light.’ In addition, we’ll see her soon enough.
Alexandra decided to accept the role for ‘Ray Rai Louk Sao Pa’ but has to decline the role for ‘Phoud (ghost) Mae Nom Khong’ because she has decided to continue her study, pursuing her master degree in Media design. She’ll be studying in Tokyo, Japan, which will take her about 2 years to complete, and she’ll be leaving as soon as the completion of the filming of ‘Ray Rai Louk Sao Pa’, might be around April of this year. She admits that she will miss her fan club and also afraid that they might forget about her, therefore will be back to continue where she has left off, but for now education is more important to her, and hope that everyone will understand.
Another good news is that we might see another album release by Alexandra before leaving for her study because she was asked to sign a contract with one of the Thai music production companies, also Alexandra wants her fans to remember her by, something that she wants to leave behind before taking some time off to study.
If you don’t have access to Thai TV, you can catch ‘Ray Rai Louk Sao Pa’ at saolao.net, I’m sure Darly will try her best in keeping all the Lakorn fans up-to-date.

Thanks Ginger for taking the time to translate the news articles, putting all of them together and posting this for us. It’s like you read my mind. Now I have more pressure to post the lakorn clips.
It’s good that she will be going back to school and will study Media design. I thought she would study International Relations since she wants to be ambassador of Laos someday. You don’t really need IR to be an ambassador in the end.
I’m sure she’ll drop by Laos and Thailand on a regular basis during break times for a quick appearance and special occasion. Those lucky fans in Japan will no doubt keep us posted.
Hey Darly, we’re now even, when I saw you posted the opening ceremony, I knew I had to post her story…that’s my self-appointed role.
I’m also surprise that she wants to study Media design, and she chose Tokyo because they have an excellent program there. According to Alexandra, she wants to stay in the world of entertainment, which is very competitive at the moment, and I think this will definitely give her a big edge, and further her career.
I hope she was paid more for this drama than the previous one. From an article that I read (forgot the name) she was paid around $40,000 for Pleng Ruk Rim Fang Khong. Maybe you have seen that article too. Some people might think that is quite a large sum of money for a first lakorn for someone from Laos but I think it was a modest amount.
Who knows maybe we’ll see Alexandra with her own media company and TV show and producing Lao lakorn someday. She’ll be 21 years old this May and has many years ahead of her and can always be an ambassador in her late 30’s or early 40’s.

I think that is an overstatement, most Thai movie stars don’t even get that. These Thai celebrities don’t talk much about how much they are paid, but they talk in figure such as 6 or 7 figures but no one really knows how much they are paid. As for Alexandra, we would never know the truth, but I’ve heard in that figure, but in Baht currency that is. Some Lao people even said that she only gets paid 20,000Baht, but I think it’s only a speculation. In the world of entertainment, there is more rumor than the truth, as the Thai called it ‘the world of Marya.’ I think anything that we read, would be good if 50% of it is the truth, behind that beautiful image might be a lot of deception and lies…if only the truth be told.
I wish they made pleng ruk rim fung khong 2..=[ oh well they’ll probably do it when she comes back from studying..
The fame value that series is buying her, is invaluable. I bet she would do it for free.
