Lao Wedding Part 2
The financial means of the bride and groom’s families determine the wedding guest list and the type of food that will be served at a reception. You can buy a menu ranging from 70,000 Kip to 100,000 Kip or more per person. A dinner reception would be a buffet style with food and drinks, sufficient for the amount of tickets bought. A menu at 100,000 Kip per person will have more choices of food than that of a 70,000 Kip per person. For those that can’t afford a catering service, an affordable reception after a Baci ceremony at a bride’s home is usually the way to go.

What is for dessert? Fruits mostly.
