Lao Voices

Samples of home made products in Laos that were on display at the Lao Traditional Food Festival 2008, at the Lao National Culture Hall last month (February 22-23). The colorful candles would be something that I would buy for myself or give away as gifts. I particularly like the candles in a shape of Dok Champa, the national flower of Laos. Perhaps in the near future we might be able to see these type of products on sale in the US and other countries. We will have to wait and see if Laos will be accepted as a member of the World Trade Organization. If Lao products can penetrate the markets in Europe and in the US, then we can all buy our Lao candles and incense at Pier1 Imports and other places.
