Innocent embarrassing things that I asked…
Miss Phom was kind enough to help me pick out my camera, now I’m in the market for a new lens, my current one does not give me the capacity to zoom image in closer to my liking, there are so many out there and very confusing, so I thought asking the professional photographer would shed some light on the subject matter and point me in the right direction. I think it was the most embarrassing moment for me for saying the wrong thing unintentionally, and it didn’t darn on me until my sentence was rephrased back to me word for word, I can tell it was done intentionally and the person must have found the humor in this, and after reading it, I turned red. How could I have asked such a question?
So I was very polite, making a comment at a photographer’s blog describing what all I want to be able to do with this new lens. So I asked, “…Standard Zoom Lens because it’s got image stabilizer but I’m not sure if I’m looking at the wrong types of lens, for a beginner, I thought image stabilizer would be helpful to me. I don’t want one that is extremely long and hard to carry around. Thanks.”
Then his replied back to me, “…If you’re simply after the 168mm end of the focal length, this is the one to get since you “don’t want one that is extremely long and hard to carry around.”"
Say what? I thought he was making fun of me at first, but then I went back to read my comment again, how could I have said such a thing, I’m wondering what were people thinking I’m in the market for, since I’m a female, either way it looks comical, to make matter worse, he told me about this lens.

My reaction, “…looks kind of scary, do people actually walk around with this?”
Since then, I have had people coming in to read the Author section of my blog, to be politically correct about this, I am only in the market for a new lens.
Well, I learn from my own mistake, I told my co workers about this today and they’re still laughing about it, below are photos taken with my current lens, this is an adult male Luna Moth, first time I’ve seen this and I thought it was a butterfly at first. I’m thinking it’s a male because of the little thing that looks like a mustache, and it’s a lot prettier than the female. It was clinging to the wall right next to the entrance to my work place, and I’ve noticed it yesterday but didn’t have my camera with me, and luckily it was still there this morning. I went back to look at it during my lunch break, and it was gone, my flash must have scared it away, if I had a zoom lens this would not have happened. This moth is found in North America from east of the Great Plains in the United States to northern Mexico and from Ontario eastward through central Québec to Nova Scotia in Canada. In our area, the Southern United States, the moth produces many generations, and only lives for 7 days, these are spaced every eight to ten weeks beginning in March.

i told you so… hehe (kidding)
good luck with everything!
I didn’t get it the first time and had to read the post a couple of times, then it dawned on me. Must have been too tired coming back from a party at 1:00 AM. But yeah, you are brave to share your moment so we can all learn from it.
Hi guys, I’m not sure how it sounds to everyone, but it sounds to me like I was asking about a ‘pen*le implant’ and that I’m interested in getting one. He was very nice about it and answered many questions that I had, and yes I was braved enough to go back and asked more questions, might be because we were online at the same time and I had no time to think about what I wrote, and besides he knew my blog so no need to hide. I didn’t ask my coworkers what they thought but one lady said, ‘you slipped that one, I’ve to tell my husband about this.” Her husband is a photographer.
Darly, it’s out there with my name on it, someone might read it one day and see the silliness in it.
Miss Phom, thanks for everything, I do have to learn the photographer (your) lingual so I don’t make that mistake again, it has been lots of fun, and I hope no one saw me taking these shots because they might have thought that I moon them.
It would sound better if you had used the word “difficult” instead of “hard”.
Dallas, I believed it’d sound much better also, and thanks because I certainly don’t want to go back and tell him “I’ve been thinking long and hard, and decided to go with the shorter lens,” Lol, instead I will say “It has been a difficult decision….”, choice of words is very important in delivering of message, if I can laugh at myself, I figure not much harm done.
