Good Morning Luang Prabang premier is delayed
Premier of Sabaidee Luang Prabang postponed
Lao and Thai co-producers of a movie entitled Sabaidee Luang Prabang, or ‘Hello Luang Prabang’, have delayed its premier in Vientiane.
The production team was set to premier the film before Pi Mai Lao (Lao New Year) this year, but has now delayed screening until the end of this month.
The film, created through cooperation between Lao Art Media Enterprise and Thailand ’s Spata, features several picturesque tourist sites in Laos.

“The reason we’ve delayed the premier is because we haven’t finished some of the editing work for scenes shot around Vientiane and at some sites in the north and south of Laos,” said the President of Lao Art Media Enterprise, Mr Anousone Sirisakda, yesterday.
“We have just premiered and released the film in Thailand. Our plan is to hold a press conference on May 24 at the National Culture Hall in Vientiane regarding the release of the film in Laos, to inform media about the film,” Mr Anousone said.
He said the production team began work on the film in January this year and had filmed on location in Luang Prabang, Champassak and Vientiane provinces.
Sabaidee Luang Prabang stars well-known Thai actor Ananda Everingham, whose character Sone falls in love with Noy (played by Khamly Philavong), the daughter of a souvenir shop owner in the town of Luang Prabang.
