You are much welcome Dallas. I have no idea what kind of tree it is. I’ve seen the flowers in different colors. Too bad I miss the blooming tree at the park. But at least I saw this one and had photos from last year. I’ll get out this Friday and take some more pics and maybe go to the beach too. Have to turn in my essay tomorrow first by 6:00 PM before I can play. While on my way to school today, loads of people were heading to the beaches with their kids. It’s vacation time over here and the Dutch tend to take a nice vacation when they can and longer than two weeks unlike what we are used to in the US.
At my work place we can only have 1 weeks (5 days) vacation. We can have 2 weeks after 5 years employment and 3 weeks after 10 years. Our maximum vacation time is 4 weeks. We can only get that after 15 years of employment. It does not include 5 sick days and 3 personal day.
European get 4 weeks vacation time every year regard the length of their employment?
Oh man, that’s horrible. At least when I worked for the US government I can take off several times a year like two weeks each time and a few days more when I came to Europe. I just took off when others are working and didn’t mind working when others are on the rush to take off during the holidays peak times.
I can’t say for sure but most Dutch people I know automatically get like one month vacation at the start of their job. I know one person who started working at a job for a couple of weeks and then took two weeks off for a holiday since the company gives employees one month of vacation automatically. I think for some people working ten years, they might have like three months off.
I just might live here and work here now.
