I don’t understand why is Laos PDR flag is hanging there.
Hi Dallas,
I was wondering if someone will say something about the current Lao flag. One explanation that I can think of is the migration of Khon Lao based on graduate study or post graduate study and/or marriage. Many people I know went to study in Easter Germany and later decided to stay there. After the reunification of Germany, then they can relocate to any part of the country. These people of course brought their relatives over. In addition, there are German men that married Lao women while working in Laos.
Let’s just say that they are not the typical Lao refugees and not Lao royalists as evident by the flag. To have such a flat at a temple in US could possibly create a rift within a community.
