Thanks Sim, that works great, I just have to learn how to blog with less pictures now. I’ve decided to go with silver, black seems a bit harsh and too defined. It’s really not a big deal, most people might not even notice but I’m just a bit weird I guess.

Nye, you can insert CSS directly onto your picture. Here's a typical code; works only for your template version.

<img src="http://nyenoona.files.wordpress.com/2008/05/mom1.jpg" border="1"> or

<img src="http://nyenoona.files.wordpress.com/2008/05/mom1.jpg" border="1">
Bad images need borders, great images don't, IMO. Blue borders (like color:#006a80) are typically reserve for linked images. Grey or other colors borders are usually okay for images. I prefer the extremely light grey which I can't recall the hexadecimal number for that, but the border can also be inserted thru photshop. Look thru this site for web color choices http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_colors .
I also had issues with Firefox on multiple uploading but it's working fine now just by resigning in. ;)

I don't know what to tell you mister. It can't be the site since I was there last night and had no problem. Sorry, I can't jump on the next plane to walk you through at the moment. :P

Hiya D,

Have the most up to date version of Firefox, Cache cleared and I still get the same pop-up only allowing me to upload one pic at a time.

I am not sure about the strict settings as I didnt change anything when I downloaded the Firefox.

Maybe I need a copy of Firefox for Dummies... ;)

Hi Vienne,

I used Mozilla Firefox when I tested Laocook site. Do you have the latest version of the browser and did you clear your cache? I had to clear my cache when I was trying to upload pics with the new Wordpress image feature. Please try that and let me know. Don't want you to not be part of our Firefox family, hehehe.

I also don't know what kind of strict settings you have for your browser. I don't use IE, unless I have to and that's at school. You have to ask the developers why the browsers are different. One thing for sure, one is free and one is not. It's rather annoying when a site looks so different or even messed up under certain browsers and trying to get a site to be compatible with all the browsers out there is time consuming.

Hi DJ, nope still will not let me do it. :(

However, I was remembering the last time that you were here and I had trouble with the site and we discovered that the solution would be to use Mozilla as opposed to IE. So I just did the reverse and logged in through IE, and "viola", now I have the option to upload more than one pic, but not on Mozilla. Weird eh?

Why are two browsers different when using the same page?

Darly, no offense taken, I think as far as thick/thin/or decorated border, it is a personal preference, such as different theme comes with different image border; very much like fashion IMO, just like now the retro 50s-70s are back and I’m sure some of us think it’s ugly, but there are many out there that think it’s stylish, I just think it’s blast from the past. I like thin line around my image (not big border); I guess that’s one of the reasons that I chose my current theme, and I don’t like change, w/o the border I feel like it’s missing something.

Ginger,

Don't get mad at me for saying this but having border on a photo is so 90's. It's more professional to have a clean and seamless site. Web 2.0 is the way to go. If you want to have blue border, then you still need to make a change in your CSS since the default border is black.

I would say just let it go. The photos would still stand out on their old without having a border to draw attention to. It's less distraction as well. :)

Hi Vienne,

You should be able to upload multiple photos at Laocook just fine. It has been tested. Just select more than one photo when you are uploading more than one photos by holding on to the "shift" key and select all the pics. Go try it out and please let me know how it goes.

I can’t say that I enjoy watching the bonus that came with the video, my eyes got crossed and couldn’t believe what I saw, I’m glad it’s fixed now.
This is the exact problem that I was having at my blog, when people click at the image, it takes them elsewhere, and I didn’t understand why they click at the image, but I didn’t know how to fix the problem either. I learned a thing or two from this tutorial and able to fix my image problem and didn’t have to sacrifice a lot. When I posted my image like this vid, I lose my blue border (originally linking property) around my image, and to get the border back without linking to the Url of the images, WP said that I have to buy the css upgrade, and it’s an annual fee, not worth it imo. I’m able to get the border back w/o having to buy the css upgrade by simply insert (border=”1”) right behind the image Url, but it’s a black border, I still need to learn how to get the blue border that I used to have, I tried the blue color code, but it didn’t work and still showing black border only.

Hola!, its just that the Laocook one only allows you to select one pic at a time, it looks almost the same as the one in at 18 secs. I think that I will take a snap shot and send it to you.

Yeah, nice ending in the first vid... ;)

Yikes, I see that Dailymotion links to some very unwanted vids at the end. Sorry for that, people. I will change the metadata at Dailymotion. I guess the word "picture" in the tag already has some sexual connotation these days.. ?

Nice Vid!.

I have a question. On Laovoices, it is possible to upload more than ONE pic at a time, but on Laocook, I have to upload pics singular. Is there some settings that I have missed?
