Artificial fruits on trees by Claude Cormier

Check out Montreal Landscape architect/artist make fruits from artificial materials. For few Laotian, this may be a surprise they wake up in Vientiane and see fruits made of plastics all over the place. It is a change to see synthetic material instead of bio material once in a while.

While plastics is part of our lives it is also part of the pollution. This type of landscape reminds us that plastic could be a useful tool if we control them well and turn them into spactacular art. We’ve already seen bit and pieces and plastic material circulating in our oceans, we wonder about how they can affect our quality of life when plastic are in the wrong place. In china, plastic bags are banned in most parts of the country. They believe that the bags are one of the major contributor to the pollution problem. But there should be no problem with these type of art. I’m sure they’ll make sure the pieces don’t flaot away into the river streams.

  1. I like the bluish tree, looks somewhat eerie, would be perfect for my backyard.

  2. That is eerie.  It’s almost out of this world.  It would be no fun for me, as I can’t enjoy (eating) those colorful plastic fruits.  But it is nice artwork :)

  3. The bluish tree looks like an infected tree that grew mushrooms.
