Lao Food Blog 2008-15
Since aunt Kian likes to eat beef, she often makes beef laap or Lao minced meat salad. There are two versions of this salad, one is raw and the other is either medium rare or well done. Laap is usually served with soup and with various vegetables.

Most southerners I know are fond of bitter leaves and vegetables. It’s not unusually to see phak sadao (bitter flowers and leaves from sadao tree) serve on a side of beef laap.
