Lao Voices

The 29th Olympic Games will be coming to Beijing this August. I know China is a controversial place of choice for some people, especially with it’s take on human rights and the environment. But I think as China becomes more modernize and gain more knowledge (of the environment, social equality, etc), they will change for the better.

More then 200 countries will be competing in this years Olympic games. I will be on the look out for the team parade from Laos too. I think the Olympic is a good idea, as it brings people together in a friendly game of sports and celebration. And as part of the celebration, these dancers of the speech and hearing impaired, part of the Chinese dance company will be performing. From this picture is the performance in Berlin, titled ‘My Dream’, which is a dance about ‘Buddha with a thousand hands’. That is a lot of hands!
