I also posted this at my blog for Nye Noona readers. My favorite foods at a Lao festival are Tum Buk Houng (Spicy Papaya Salad, sorry that I didn’t get to take a picture of it, I was hungry and ate all), Ping Kai (BBQ Chicken) and Kao Larm (purple rice in Bamboo tube), and of course, I get to eat all. But we all have our own favorite food, just like my oldest sister, she loves Ka Nom Kok, I really don’t know what it’s called in English but we would make it at home, and not having the correct tray, we have been using cup cake tray and we’d get a giant Ka Nom Kok and after eating just one, I’m full. So this is a real treat for my oldest sister, I also enjoy eating it, and the little ones taste a lot better than our giant imitation, see for yourself.
