Hi Nye,
When you use the embed functionality of Vimeo there is a link called “Customize size, color and other options”. Click that and look for the Size fields. Change the width to 550 pixels and Vimeo will change the height in ratio for you.
For LaoVoices, 550 pixels is about the max for a full page post video embed.
