Pakse Boat Racing Festival 2008 Morning Races part 20 comments

Here are additional photos and video clips of the morning competition at Pakse Boat Racing Festival 2008. There were more boats entering in the races and the faithful fans were standing there at the riverbank cheering their hearts out until noon. Everything came to a complete stop and people parted ways for a long lunch break before the afternoon competition can take place.

As you can see, there were plenty of food to eat from the food vendors along the river if you don’t mind the dusk and the flies. But for us we walked to a relative’s house 20 minutes away for a family picnic by the Mekong River. One thing for sure on the day of the Boat Racing Festival, people just keep on eating and drinking and partying until late into the night.
