Here are some video clips that I made on November 08, 2008. It was the second day of Boun That Luang and the festival was in full gear. For those attending Boun That Luang they had to follow a dress code with females not allowing to wear short to enter the temple. Lao sinh was the preferred choice for the ladies but you can wear nice long pants. For those individuals that wore shorts and made it pass security they will be fined on their way out of the temple. I didn’t pay attention to the exact amount of the fine but it was a few dollars for sure. While That Luang Festival 2008 was well organized, many of the vendors were complaining about having to compete with the exhibition at the Lao international Trade Exhibition and Convention Center (Lao ITECC). They are saying the festival goers only come to That Luang Square for the religious ceremony and mostly doing the shopping at Lao-ITECC.
