Aid keeps going to flood victims in the south

(KPL) The Enterprise of Telecommunications Lao (ETL) and the Lao State Fuel Company have provided assistance worth 114.4 million kip for flood victims in three southern provinces of Saravane, Sekong and Attapeu.

The assistance, including consumer goods from ETL, was 72,000,000 kip, and that from the Lao State Fuel Company was 42.49 million kip, including 400 winter coats and 6.1 million kip in cash.

The hand-over of the assistance took place at the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare last Friday.

Mr. Bounkhong Lasoukanh, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, received the assistance packages from Mr. Khamphone Duangdath, Head of the Managing Department of Enterprise of Telecommunications Lao, and Mr. Davone Phon-amath, Deputy Director of the Lao State Fuel Company.
