Only 1,000 tickets available for SEA Games opening and closing

(KPL) Only 1,000 tickets remain available for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 25th SEA Games after more than 13,000 tickets had been sold, according to the SEA Games ticket seller Vongkhanty Construction Company.

President of the company Mr. Phankham Vongkhanty said at a press conference on Tuesday that individuals who wanted to buy tickets should hurry before they will run out.

“The SEA Games Organising Committee agreed to distribute SEA Games tickets on Monday. We started selling tickets on November 9 and each sold at 200,000 kip and most people booked them through telephoning,” said Mr Phankham.

The company continued to distribute the tickets but raised the minimum price up to 300,000 kip on November 10. The company said previously that there were 5,470 tickets of 500,000 kip, 4,102 tickets of 400,000 kip, 3,418 tickets of 300,000 kip and 684 tickets of 200,000 kip. Each ticket has the stamp of the Ministry of Public Security and 3D hologram sticker of the 25th SEA Games logo.

“People who come to pick up their tickets should make sure that the ticket has the hologram so that they get the genuine ones,” Mr Phankham said.

SEA Games Organising Committee Deputy Chairman Dr Phouthong Seng-akhom said the prices of the Laos SEA Games tickets were lower than those of the previous SEA Games events in other ASEAN member countries.

“We have prepared around 4,500 seats for VIP guests and spectators so far but the committee will prepare more seats for senior government officials,” he said.
