Party and state leaders observe rehearsal of SEA Games opening
(KPL) Party and state leaders last week watched the large rehearsal of the parades that will be performed at the opening and closing ceremonies of the 25th SEA Games, at the new Complex National Stadium, (KM 16) Vientiane Capital.

Taking part in the rehearsal of the inauguration of the coming 25th SEA Games scheduled at the end of this year, including President Choummaly Sayasone of the Lao PDR, President of the National Assembly Thongsing Thammavong, and Prime Minister Bouasone Bouphavanh, other Party members, and members of the opening and closing ceremony committee of the 25th SEA Games.
The inaugural rehearsal kicked off with a well-known chorus song “Champa Mouang Lao”, the frangipani of Laos, played by a band of the Lao People’s Army.
The chorus was followed by the parades of the flags and athletes of the participating Southeast Asian nations and the SEA Games flag.
After the parades, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Somsavat Lengsavad made a statement and followed by the opening statement of the 25th SEA Games by President Choummaly Sayasone.
The rehearsal also featured traditional performances from all parts of the country and other displays to welcome spectators to the games.The 25th SEA Games is scheduled to open on 9 December and close on 18 December.
