Govt approves infrastructure rehabilitation projects in Attapeu

( KPL- 17.11.09 ) The Public Works Department of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, and the Planning Department of the Ministry of Investment and Planning, and five construction companies signed a contract on rehabilitation of basic infrastructure damaged by flood in Attapeu province.

The signing ceremony for the rehabilitation projects was held at the Attapeu Palace Hotel on 10 November.
According to the agreement the five companies will conduct a rehabilitation of roads in Attapeu province, which were damaged by flood in last September due to typhoon Ketsana.

These construction companies include Xaychaleun Construction Company, awarded a contract of 4.1 billion kip to renovate and improve roads in urban areas of the province; Kounsapchaleun Construction Company to carry out the rehabilitation of roads and irrigation systems in Saysetha district, under a contract worth 2.3 billion kip; Phongthavisap Bridge and Road Construction Company to rehabilitate roads in Sanamsay district under a contract of 1.5 billion kip; Tongsavanh Construction Company to rehabilitate roads in Sanxay district under a contract of 98 billion kip; and Duangdy Construction Company to rehabilitate roads in the province under a contract of 852 million kip.
