(KPL) The Laos-Japan Human Resource Development Cooperation Centre (L-J Centre) organised a meeting to evaluate the operation of the centre in the last six months.

The meeting was held on November 19, at the National University of Laos (Dongdok campus). Attending the meeting included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Saykhong Saynasin, Vice-Dean of the National University of Laos, Mr. Hiroki Takashima, representative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and relevant officials from the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Education, and the Japanese Embassy in the Lao PDR.
The participants also reviewed the achievements in building the classrooms for the business administration Master students and the opening of the second batch of the Business Administration Master Project, the implementation of Japanese classes for the academic year 2009-2010.
Series of seminars on the Lao and Japanese cultures and the training of Lao officials in business administration and activities to promote cultural exchange between Laos and Japan were also held as achievement made over the last six months by the centre.
The participants also discussed plans and budget expenditure for the centre’s activities in the next six months. These include the development of academic curriculum, human resource development and cultural exchange activities.
