(KPL) A high-ranking delegation of Singapore led by its senior minister Goh Chok Tong arrived here on 24 November for a three-day working visit to Laos as guest of the Lao government.
Mr. Goh Chok Tong and his delegation received a warm welcome at the Wattay International Airport by senior officials of Laos, including Mr. Phongsavath Boupha, Deputy-Minister of Foreign Affairs, and representatives of the Singaporean embassy.
Mr. Goh Chok Tong in the afternoon of the same day paid a courtesy visit to Prime Minister Bouasone Bouphavanh who said the visit to Laos of the Singaporean high-ranking delegation a big contribution to further strengthening the traditional friendship and co-operation between Laos and Singapore.
On this occasion, Mr. Goh Chok Tong expressed thanks to Lao PM Bouasone Bouphavanh for his warm welcome and invitation for him to visit Laos for strengthening the friendly relations and co-operation between Singapore and Laos.
While in Laos, the Singaporean delegation will have a working session with the Lao government and pay a courtesy visit to some of Lao leaders.
