Sekong reveals two plans of rehabilitation from Ketsana scourge
KPL) Sekong has drawn up two plans of rehabilitation from the aftermath of Ketsana typhoon, according to the deputy governor of this southern province. The first plan is the provision of basic necessities to people so that they could return to their normal life. This means the provision of food items, clothes, medicine, houses and the storage of food crops.

“As for the second plan, the province will use an amount of 25 billion kip, which has just been approved by the government, to buy rice, clothes and household utensils,” said Deputy Governor of Sekong, Mr. Phonephet Philavong.
Mr. Phonephet said last week that Sekong was in need of 110.8 billion kip to ensure its long-term rehabilitation of infrastructure damaged by the typhoon.
Going into details Mr. Phonephet said that the damage caused by the typhoon to Lamam and Kaluem districts was most severe, which is estimated at 67.3 billion kip. This includes 47.5 billion kip in Lamam and 39.8 billion kip in Kaluem.
