Laos exceeds SEA Games target of winning gold medals
(KPL) Lao Wushu team yesterday snatched three more gold medals in Sanshu men category, a gold medal from boxing and a gold medal from Judo that led Laos exceeded the target of winning five gold medals in the ongoing SEA Games.

Laos has set the target of wining 25 gold medals in the 25th SEA Games.
But yesterday, Laos bagged 30 gold medals when compared to the previous SEA Games in Korat in 2007, Laos won only five gold medals.
The host nation are on seventh in the 11-nation with the result of 30 gold, 24 silver and 47 bronzes medals, making the best ever achievement in SEA Games, according to yesterday’s medal tally.
Lao Wushu fighters won three gold medals in Sanshou men 52kg (Khamla Soukaphone), 56kg (Phonxay Aphailath) and 60kg (Bouapha Valasith) categories, yesterday.
Mr Khemkham Kommanivong, a Judo fighter also won a gold medal in the category of over 100kg and Mr Vilasak Khouandy bagged a gold medal in boxing with category of 64kg light welter weight.
