World Vision supports HIV prevention in Luang Prabang
(KPL) The World Vision in Laos has agreed to present more than US$ 200,000 to the HIV/AIDS Care and Support Programme (HCSP) in six target districts in Luang Prabang province.

The grant will be spent on the HIV prevention and taking care people living with AIDS in six target districts in Viengkham, Ngoy, Park Seng, Phonsay, Xiengngeun, and Phoukhoun.
Memorandum of Understanding was signed at the Naviengkham Hotel, Luang Prabang province, on 16 December, between Mr. Green Power, the Managing Director of World Vision to Laos and Dr. Niphone Simphaly, Deputy Head of Public Health Service of Luang Prabang province.
Taking part in the event were Mr. Khampheng Saysompheng, Deputy Governor of Luang Prabang and officials concerned.
Mr. Seng Thammavong, Head of HCSP said that the money would be spent on furthering the second phase of HCSP, after the first phase programme just finished in September of this year.
The second phase would focus on improving the diagram of community and giving knowledge on HIV prevention to local administrators.
