Latest Hmong group returned home

(KPL) Four families with 19 Lao Hmong, the latest group of Lao Hmong at Houai Namkhao camp, Phetchabun province of Thailand, was presented to the Lao authority on the first Friendship Bridge on 7 January.

These Hmong people were part of the group of the repatriation to Laos on 28 December.

A hand-over ceremony of the Hmong repatriates was held between Lieutenant Colonel Phimmachanh Vongpanya, representative of the sub-committee of the Lao-Thai border security co-operation and Colonel Khamron Kheauvisayachan, representative of the sub-committee of the Thai-Lao border security co-operation.

These Hmong people will be sent to the temporary reception centre in central Borikhamsay province for cross-checking and providing education. They then will be sent to their hometown on a voluntary basis.
