Sengvisay donates 100 million kip for rehabilitating roads destroyed by Ketsana

(KPL) The Sengvisay Construction Company has presented a fund of over 100 million kip to finance the restoration of roads damaged by typhoon Ketsana in Saravane, Attapeu, and Sekong provinces.

The handover of the fund took place at the Bank of the Lao PDR on March 15. The donation was presented by President of Sengvisay Construction Company, Mr. Thongla Sengvisay, to the Governor of the Bank of the Lao PDR, Mr. Phoupheth Khamphounvong.

The handover was witnessed by Acting Head of the Bank of the Lao PDR, Mr. Dethphouvang Mounrath, and officials of both sides.

On the occasion, Mr. Phoupheth expressed thanks to the donor for his financial assistance for the rehabilitation of the roads in the three southern provinces to restore the communication of people in the provinces.

Typhoon Ketsana hit the three southern provinces in the end of September and early October last year.
