On my last visit to Wat Simoung I saw a few sala trees which I didn’t notice last year even though they are on the same entrance I entered last year. These trees are in full bloom and hard to miss from the street.

On October 16, 2008 I met with the fifth grade teacher and also the superintendent of Houaylao Elementary School and visited fifth graders during their activity time. The students either read, paint or draw or do arts and crafts during activity time. For this particular day, it was reading time using the Book Box Library.
