The Kitsalath petanque club won a tournament held last weekend to celebrate the 65th anniversary of Vietnamese National Day and the 450th anniversary of Vientiane as the Lao capital. The Vietnamese Association to Laos cooperated with the Lao Petanque Federation to organise the event at the National University of Laos’ Dongdok campus.
The Lao Maklae Federation (LMF) presented certificates to senior members at an event to celebrate the first anniversary of the federation’s establishment at Vientiane Secondary School last Saturday. The senior officials were provided with certificates of merit for their contribution to promoting maklae in Vientiane and other provinces.
The Lao Shooting Federation will select the four best female shooters at an event to be held at the Km16 Indoor Stadium in Xaythany district next week. The top three female shooters and one substitute selected will then commence training for the 16th Asian Games to be held in Guangzhou, China, from November 12-27. More [...]

Six male and four female pencak silat fighters of different categories will be selected to compete at the 15th Asean University Games in Chiang Mai province, Thailand, in December. Currently the fighters are training at Chao Anouvong football stadium and next month they will begin training at the National Sports Training Centre until the games.
