(KPL) The Ministry of Information and Culture of the Lao PDR and the Vietnamese Radio held a ground-breaking ceremony to kick off the construction of a Radio-TV Station in Luang Prabang province on January, 5 2010.
The construction will take six months with an investment of 22.8 billion kip (57.2 billion VND). The station will have a 110-m high TV antenna and necessary facilities and a back-up generator.
The development is the translation into reality of an MOU on the cooperation on economy, culture, technical area and science between Laos and Vietnam for the period 2006-2010.
