Lao leaders greet USA on the occasion of 238th Anniversary of the Independence Day of the United States of America
President of the Lao PDR, Choummaly Sayasone, has sent greetings to President of the United States of America Barack Obama, in Washington D.C. on the occasion of 238th Anniversary of the Independence Day of the United States of America.
President Choummaly Sayasone writes:
” On behalf of the Lao People and on my own behalf, I would like to extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes of good health, happiness and prosperity to Your Excellency and through Your Excellency to the Government and all American people on the occasion of 238th Anniversary of the Independence Day of the United States of America.
” I am confident that, with our common efforts, the longstanding relationship and good cooperation existing between our two countries will continue to be further strengthened and flourished in the interest of the Lao and American peoples as well as for world peace and international development and cooperation”.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Thongloun Sisoulith, joined in the spirit of celebration, with a similar message to his American counterpart John Kerry respectively.
