Lao leaders sends message of congratulations on the occasion of the Canadian National Day.
President of the Lao PDR, Choummaly Sayasone sends a message to Governor General of Canada, David Johnston, on the occasion of the Canadian National Day. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Thongsing Thammavong and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Thongloune Sisoulith also send similar messages to their Canadian counter parts.
The message reads:
On the occasion of the National Day of Canada, on behalf of the Government of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and on my own behalf, I would like to express my warmest congratulations and best wishes of happiness and prosperity to your Excellency and through your Excellency to the Government and people of Canada.
I do hope that the friendly relations and cooperation existing between our two countries will be further strengthened over the coming years and that Laos and Canada will continue to work closely to enhance our mutual interests.
At the same time, Prime Minister of the Lao PDR Thongsing Thammavong also sent a message to Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Joseph Harper, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Thongloun Sisoulith sent a message John Baird, Minister of Foreign of Affairs of Canada on the occasion of the National Day of Canada.
