Laos, Vietnam reinforce time-honoured friendship, all-round cooperation
On July 9, Vice President Bounnhang Volachith who is on a working visit to Vietnam meet with Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung who hosted a welcoming reception for the Lao Vice President Bounnhang.
At the talk, both leaders highlighted the ties of traditional friendship; special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries provide a tremendous boost for the steady development between the two countries in all fields.
Nguyen Sinh Hung said the Vietnam legislative body will do its best to further enhance Vietnam-Laos special relationship for the benefit of the two peoples and for peace and prosperity.
For his part, Vice President Bounnhang applauded the great achievements Vietnam has recorded in the renewal process while believing that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), Vietnamese people will continue to obtain even greater achievements in the national construction and development process toward the goal of a powerful country with rich people living in an equal, democratic and civilized society.
Both host and guest agreed that Vietnam and Laos need support each other at bilateral and multilateral forums, intensify the exchange of delegations at all levels and effectively implement agreements reached at annual meetings between the two politburos and the two governments.
Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung also reiterated the Vietnam NA’s readiness to share experience with its Lao counterpart in the process of amending the Lao Constitution and to provide wholehearted support for Laos to successfully perform the role of ASEAN Chair in 2016.
