Private companies donate to fight against dengue fever. According to the NA, In order to assist and reduce the number of infected people, the contributions of society as well as Private Company donations are an important part of combating dengue.
Dr Saysomphone Phomvihane, Vice president of National Assembly witnessed the donation which presented by representatives from Phongsavanh Bank 10,000 USD, Somsavanhchalern Construction Company Limited 30 million kip and khimkeeyong, Marou Company Limtied over 2 million kip and 100 mosquito nets to the Vice committee of Culture and Social of National Assembly.
Official said, the donation is hoped to sustain the country’s ongoing fight against dengue fever. Money raised through the funding drive will also be used to support doctors, nurses and students to work until the rainy season ends and the infection rate slow.
It is said that, Ministry of health had spent about 2.6 billion kip in the last month to support more than 1,000 doctors, nurses and medical students in provinces suffering from the dengue outbreak.
