President of Vietnam Comrade Truong Tan Sang arrives Laos for a working visit from 23-25 March, 2015
Introduction: President of Vietnam Comrade Truong Tan Sang and a high-level Vietnamese delegation arrives Vientiane Capital of the Lao PDR today for a working visit from 23-25 March 2015 at the invitation of President Choummaly Sayasone.
Story: The visit is in response to an invitation by Comrade Choummaly Sayasone, Secretary General of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and President of the Lao PDR. Comrade Truong Tan Sang, the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, his wife, and a high-ranking delegation arrive Laos on Monday the 23rd of March for an official working visit from 23-25 March, 2015. The visit aims to further strengthen the special friendship relation and all round co-operations between the two parties, states and people of Laos and Vietnam.
The official welcome ceremony took place at the Presidential Palace where the Vietnamese top leaders welcomed by President of the Lao PDR Choummaly Sayasone. The visit would contribute to the enhancement of special ties and comprehensive co-operation between the two nations. The top leaders of Laos and Vietnam have agreed to give all priorities to strengthening and promoting the bilateral special friendship and comprehensive co-operation, considering them valuable assets which must be preserved and handed to future generations.
President Sayasone also praised the close co-ordination between the two nations’ ministries, agencies and localities in implementing agreements reached by their senior leaders, as well as co-operation deals signed between the two governments.
For his part, Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang said he hoped that the visit would help further advance the friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive co-operation between the Parties, States and people of Vietnam and Laos. The Vietnamese leader expressed his delight at the successes Laos has made in maintaining political stability, security and national defence, fostering its economic, cultural and social development and improving living conditions of the people.
“It is noted that, Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang’s visit, which coincides with celebrations for the 60 th anniversary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, is a great catalyst for the implementation of high-level agreements between the two Parties and cooperation deals reached between the two governments.
They will share ideas towards successfully realising agreements between the two Parties and Governments as well as stepping up bilateral economic, trade, cultural, science-technology, and security-defence deals.
As Vietnam and Laos actively work towards international integration and the establishment of the ASEAN Economic Community, President Truong Tan Sang’s visit is motivation for closer coordination at regional and international forums contributing to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world”
