UK Alumni of the Chevening scholarship from Laos visits the newly opened British Embassy in Vientiane Capital to reconnect with each other and get to know the British Ambassador.

British Ambassador to the Lao PDR, Philip Mallon held a typical afternoon English tea at the newly opened British Embassy to welcome the UK Alumni from Laos to the introduce One of the UK Alumni present was Secretary General of the Lao Youth Union, Dr. Vilayvong Bouddakham who was one of the earlier scholars himself that went to the UK in the late 90s. Speaking to our news team, Dr Vilayvong emphasized that the Chevening scholarship to the UK was an important factor of each person’s development in education and their career.

Vice Governor of Vientiane Province, Madame Singkham Khongsavanh, who was a UK Alumni in early 90s majoring in Master in Economic Policy, mentioned the importance of her educational experience in the UK.
